White Rhino at center stage

Never mind the photobombing giraffe! I didn't even see him until I uploaded this shot!

Some of these massive rhinos weigh in at almost 3 tons, have extremely thick skin, rather small brains. Their deadliest predators are human poachers who killed more than 1,000 rhinos in South Africa alone last year. Sadly, the coveted rhino horns by weight, sell for as much as gold on the black market in Asia.

What a cool shot!! I love the photobombing giraffe.....it certainly adds a vertical interest to the horizontal, boxy rhino!!! It is such a shame that so many wonderful animals are being decimated for the selfish interests and needs of the few that can afford unnecessary luxuries such as tusks and fur!
