The Apartheid Museum, Johannesburg. This is an interactive museum that portrays the Apartheid system, supported by the South African government from 1948 to1990. The exhibits document the people's struggle and celebrate the human spirit which finally overcame the oppression to become the multi-cultural South Africa of today. There is only one person in this shot. The rest are photo images on mirrors.
all along the outdoor corridor.
SO well captured. That was a powerful experience to go through. Humbling to see, hear, and read about the people fighting it, and what their lives were like before, during, and after.
@taffy Being there and seeing all the photos and videos was quite moving. I remember watching the news the day Mandela was released from prison in 1990 quite clearly.
It must have been quite something to walk through that museum with all the interactive displays. What an experience.....how is the photo book coming along? Have you decided what company to use?
