That used to be one of my father's favorite expressions! And it makes me laugh because I heard his voice when I saw this explosion of color in the tulip fields yesterday. Just 4 days ago the tulip buds hadn't quite opened so waiting a few extra days to see them again really paid off. Also, the weather fairy smiled on me and kept the rain away which was a bonus.
