Architecture Gone Wild

Last week I was riding a bicycle in downtown Santa Barbara when I came across this architectural wonder- a private residence designed by a local architect, Jeff Shelton. This whimsical Gaudi-meets-Dr.- Seuss creation with its way-out iron work and colorful pottery stopped me in my tracks. I was standing in the middle of the street taking a few shots when a woman waved from the upper balcony and shouted "Would you like a tour?" The interior was remarkable as well-each room had hand-painted tile flooring, interesting custom furniture and beautifully framed views of the city. It was a Wow.
what a lovely and fun find. i would like a tour too.
