Tomorrow morning we set sail for Catalina Island with our friends and sailing buddies. Generally, we like to do short harbor cruises so this 26-mile journey will be an exiting challenge. Weather and wind prospects look good for the next couple days. I won't be posting until I return later in the week.

Your mention of 26 miles being challenges is interesting as I've just agreed to join a friend on a 10 day trip through Channel Island National Park between Santa Barbara and LA. It's for a photography adventure together (they are the experienced sailors with a boat that does long journeys as they are next headed to Fiji and New Zealand). While I'm not that experienced, I'm excited to try photographing from a moving ship!
@jgpittenger Around October 10th for about 10 days, give or take. Their boat is being painted at the moment and then they leave SF to SB visiting some places along the way. I'll know more in another week or so.
@taffy Your Channel Island trip will be great! The reason I said our trip is a challenge is because this is the first time we’ve sailed our boat this far by ourselves! It was a gorgeous day and We made the crossing in 6-1/2 hours.
