This vining flower is a native of Brazil and is also known as Dutchman’s Pipe. I had never seen it until today when I walked in a new neighborhood and it was growing along the fence in the front garden. The large flowers are quite unusual looking their with deep purple-red blooms etched with white patterns and bright green heart-shaped leaves.
