I spend the afternoon at the nursery, picking out drought tolerant plants for a landscape project. I liked this mature barrel cactus with a bright yellow crown of flowers. The specimens I picked are tiny 1-gallon versions of this cactus. When I asked when I how soon could expect mine to bloom, the sales person replied "eventually." I hope that's in my lifetime.
