I finally got a shot of this scary-looking raptor -- one of the heaviest flying birds of prey. He didn't spread his wings while I was watching but at least he turned his head for a quick profile. This shot doesn't convey how huge this bird is. The wingspan alone could be as wide as 8-10 feet.
