After viewing the dramatic cliffs of the NaPali coast on Kauai’s ocean side, we spent another day hiking in Waimea Canyon, sometimes called the Grand Canyon of Kauai. This gorge is 3,600 feet deep, formed by erosion, heavy rainfall and the collapse of a giant volcano.
