Stuck at home with a sore throat and feeling lousy, this is the best I can do: a “before” photo of the [two story] foyer before the painters come to paint the walls and banister. They’re also removing the border and wallpaper from the guest bathroom and repainting it and caulking over cracks between banister “elements.” The other “extra” stuff this crew is doing is repairing “popping” nail heads, cracks (from settling) and chips (from use). Nice clean lines and the light is good. Wish my house looked neat enough to photograph like this. This photo makes it seem like the painting isn't necessary, but I'm looking forward to seeing the "after" shot.

@digitalrn I am already feeling better, Rick; thank you! Thank you, but there are lots of marks on the stairwell wall from moving-in, furniture acquired here, and two kids moving-out. Original, contractor-selected non-offensive white has too clinical a feel so we're adding color.
