Our Thanksgiving began with a 4-mile road race in Somerville, MA for all four of us! I haven't run more than "a stone's throw" in maybe 10-20 years. Since I have a fused first metatarsal joint, I wasn't even sure I *could* run more than a stone's throw! Though I was passed by many and passed few, I finished without a stop and met my very-rough time goal.

@sparkleplenty1 I wondered if anyone would check! I was hoping just to beat 40' (10' miles) and came in under 39'. It was a fun thing to do as a family-plus-one.
@digitalrn Thanks, Rick! I did wonder if I could run without the full range of motion of my right, big toe, but it turned out that the toe wasn't an issue at all.
