Spring blossoming

For a post last year — http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2011-03-26 — I was preoccupied with how cool the dogwood blossoms looked when they just began to “pop” [yes, that’s for you, Grace], but I never went back to capture the open blossom. Well, here is a blossom from the same tree as last year's post on the 26th.

A bit of a contrast with yesterday’s post?

Great macro! Dogwoods are one of my favorites, and I love your composition on this one.

Gorgeous focus, gorgeous pov (see you can step out of that symmetry comfort zone) and just a lovely shot.

@furrylens Thank you, EE! I like dogwoods, too. Good thing: there are many such trees in this area!

@michelleyoung Sometimes I can! Thank you so much, Michelle!

Ours have not popped yet. Maybe they are too pooped to pop. They are interesting curling shapes...I took a pic of one the other day with a sawfly on it. Have not posted yet, but maybe will one day for some filler..Nice shot of this gorgeous opened blossom.
