10 p.m. desperation by rhoing

10 p.m. desperation

One of the cool things about having a job in a diverse and international environment is the thank-you gifts that students give upon their graduation and departure. This is a small bottle (capacity less than 2 ounces, probably) with a very intricate painting … on the inside! Makes one think of model ships in bottles…

This image really doesn't do the piece justice. I will have to figure out a better way to photograph this little work of art. (But probably not at 10 p.m. again!)

Nine years later (almost to the day): “Another hack at it”

A year ago: “Happy Easter in Beantown!”
I really like this shot! This is a good pov :)

My father has something very similar to that! My mother and father taught conversational English to ESL students at their church in Boston for over 25 years. After my mother died, he continued. Many of his international students would bring gifts like this - he would save them all!

A very nice gift. When I saw this on the thumbnail I did immediately think a ship in a bottle
