“Red-banded Hairstreak”: A new one!

[Clare probably can barely contain herself that Thom found a new species of butterfly in the garden!]

Posting this to BAMONA with my proposed ID of a “Red-banded Hairstreak” (Calycopis cecrops). The hairstreaks are cool, though this one seems to have lost its tails and the eyespot between them.

Finally got one right! ID’ed at BAMONA as “Calycopis cecrops” or “Red-banded Hairstreak”; http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/741520
