After last night’s desperation shot just before midnight, I was back up about 5:30 — “stupid o’clock” as our younger daughter calls such an hour — to be on the water before the official sunrise at 6:52 a.m. I had a pink sky shot that I took from on the lake before sunrise, but I prefer this one. I like the reflection, and I like how it shows the relative size of the bluffs on this lake. For comparison, the boat Roland is rowing — http://maasboats.com/shells-2/double/ — is 31 feet long. The bluff in the background isn’t quite that tall, but it’s imposing enough when rowing past!
16K yesterday and 16K today with Roland and Christine in the double shown here and I’m a tired sculler!

Nice to be up and out on the water so early. Great reflection shot. And I'm laughing at the stupid o'clock comment. Sounds like something my kids would say :)
