Family

What do you post on the days of a parent’s visitation and funeral? Some of the gathering family and friends, I think. Before the visitation began at 2 p.m., my brother, sister and I met for lunch with our families and my only aunt-and-uncle. (Mom was an only child and Dad had a sister, so I have one aunt and two first-cousins from my side of my family.) Here is my sister with her daughter, fresh from final exams at university. Next semester she’s off to a study abroad “across the pond”…

Nice capture Thom....a difficult day I'm sure, but happy that there were some smiles for you.

A very nice capture of them, and Thom, have been thinking of you and your family during this time.

@digitalrn Thanks so much, Rick. It's different losing the second parent and becoming an "orphan."

@rhoing yes it is, it hit home quickly. Strangely you think they will be around forever, and when they leave, it takes a long time to sink in, kind of like you want to deny it.
