Dad’s only ‘pet’ by rhoing

Dad’s only ‘pet’

Almost to eleventh-hour desperation, though I had well over an hour…
I took “custody” of Dad’s only “pet,” a cactus. I forgot to ask my sister if she knows when it was acquired. Specifically, could it go back to when Mom was alive? For identification, I will have to ask Rich or Karen at the greenhouse.

Mammillaria spinosissima “rubrispina”; the most popular common name is “Red Headed Irishman”; thank you, Rich!

A cacti is always the best 'pet' to have if you ask me! I hope you find out what type it is :) Im sure someone on here will know the answer.

Yes, I believe that predates Mom's death. I think they had it on Kirts.

@lindaphelps Wow. I wonder if it might be in a photo, but perhaps Mom kept it somewhere "un-photographed"...

Wow, and this is probably as very special momento to acquire, it represents life.

Look for it in pictures of the kitchen on Kirts. I feel sure you'll find it there...or with all the "Arizona-y" stuff we found...

I am smiling at this :)
