“Blue-eyed grass”

Saw this lone flower, seemingly on a blade of grass, at the edge of Thompson Woods on campus. Was able to identify it with the help of MyWildflowers-dot-com — http://www.mywildflowers.com/identify.asp — and, of course, PhytoImages, http://phytoimages.siu.edu/
This is Sisyrinchium angustifolium (family Iridaceae, the same family that has the genus Iris). Also called “Pointed blue-eyed grass.”
