A new skipper! by rhoing

A new skipper!

Well, new to me in our garden.
I figured it was either a Fiery Skipper or a Sachem, which I have difficulty distinguishing. But on the same page in my field guide was the Delaware Skipper (“Anatrytone logan,” family Hesperiidae) and this was surely what this butterfly was.
[With the new macro lens.]

Confirmed at BAMONA as Anatrytone logan or “Delaware Skipper”; http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/917144

Love him and that purple flower. I like the undersides of the flower that glow all hot pink and stuff. :0) How can you tell the difference in a Fiery and a Delaware? I am so curious!

@espyetta If you go to my sighting, http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/917144, you'll see that another image reveals a wide dark band at the margin and an absence of any of the spots associated with Sachem and the variable markings associated with Fiery Skipper.
