75 years of south-east exposure…

The Varsity Center for the Arts faces east. When the theater opened in 1940, the white "VARSITY" letters would have matched the red "VARSITY" letters!

But all of this will be coming down soon. The panels for the hand-and-pole moved letters will be replaced with LED display boards and the vertical V-A-R-S-I-T-Y letters will come down for refurbishing.

Glad they are refurbishing. Sorta drove through Cargondale once. A whole chunk of the interstate was closed and we had to get around it...with no detour signs!
