I'm the "sign guy" — for the LED display board outside, http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2015-08-04 — and "computer guy" for the organization for which I volunteer as secretary on the Board of Directors. This week I'm updating the security software on a donated computer and updating the office manager's PC to Windows 10. So I'm in the office with little else to do during long downloads. I probably should bring a book.
There is a costume storeroom adjoining the theater office, so I poked my head in there today and saw these old-fashioned, lace-y, wedding-y dresses. (There are at least four different dresses.) When our younger daughter visited for Christmas, she found a dress for her wedding later this year. I took a few shots of the lace and covered buttons and since then I have been "noticing" fabrics a bit more: their texture as well as printed patterns. So here are some fabrics in my local travels. The white and cream colors lent themselves reasonably well to gray-scaling.

Thom, I think it's great your daughter is getting married in a vintage dress. We recently cleaned out our costume room and I was so sad to see some beautiful old dresses leave for the dump. Just not enough room to store them all. Hope all is well with you. Give my regards to Jan.
Nice shot! Agree they look good in gray-scaling! Isn't it amazing how "what we are going through" changes our perspective and almost "forces" us to look at new things and even look at old things differently! Don't take a book...just keep exploring!
