A new-to-me butterfly! by rhoing

A new-to-me butterfly!

I have photographed-and-posted many butterflies here (this is #149 …, he wrote sheepishly), but this is one I haven't seen in the nearly 5 years since my first posted butterfly.

Pretty sure this is a Falcate orangetip (“Anthocharis midea”). Males that have orange tips on their forewings, but females do not. For a male, see Carolyn's post from a couple weeks ago, http://365project.org/cjwhite/my-365-project/2016-03-30

Confirmed at BAMONA as “Anthocharis midea” or “Falcate orangetip”; http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/1079877
