I know, I know. A really lame post, but it was a one-frame day as we're preparing to leave on a trip tomorrow.
Years ago I served as faculty advisor for a student organization. That duty passed to another faculty member … who took a position at another university with her husband and moved. She gave the box of materials back to me.
The student organization became inactive and I had the box of materials in my campus office.
When I retired two years ago, the box came home with me.
Recently I came across the box in the garage and contacted the organization, asking if they wanted the materials. They said yes. I asked if they would reimburse me for the postage. They said yes. So I enclosed the cash receipt *in* the box, but photographed it for my records.
I've also used my camera as a "photocopier" when taking meeting minutes for the non-profit I serve as secretary. Of course many of you have smart phones to serve this function or purpose, but in either case, it's handy to have a portable "photocopier." :)
