Sachem by rhoing

Sachem

That's the common name for this skipper, “Atalopedes campestris.” This particular species has a distinctive group of markings on the underside of its forewings and this image captures it with back lighting. I'm also pleased to get this clear an image from a point-and-shoot while my T2i is away at the camera hospital.

Confirmed at BAMONA as “Atalopedes campestris” or “Sachem”; sighting- http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/1088822
