Viceroy [filler] by rhoing

Viceroy [filler]

Didn't leave the house-and-yard today, so this is a filler from the lake yesterday. It's interesting how the species of butterflies vary from the gardens around our house to the-lake-more-fished to the-lake-less-fished. This was taken at the-lake-less-fished. (Why "less-fished"? It's part of a national wildlife refuge, so stickers are necessary for both boat and motor vehicle. For the-lake-more-fished, Cedar Lake, only a less-expensive state stamp is required on the boat.)

Confirmed at BAMONA as “Limenitis archippus” or “Viceroy” (from two different photographs); http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/1101655

Confirmed at BugGuide as “Limenitis archippus archippus” (a subspecies) or “Viceroy” (from three different photographs); http://bugguide.net/node/view/1290165
