Where did *you* come from?

This guy (a male, as the females have equal-sized claws) was under the dryer when I moved it a few weeks ago… Apparently, there are no such crabs in this area; my local zoologist says, “That crab is a hitchhiker from some vacation you've taken in the past.”

» This close-up may be deceptive: actual body size is ½" front-to-back and ¾" side-to-side.

Crabs don't hibernate do they? Certainly not under a dryer!
