Cucumis sativus (Cucumber!) by rhoing

Cucumis sativus (Cucumber!)

One of several food plants Steve & Jenny are growing in their yard.

Today we surveyed the rain damage to Steve & Jenny's patio. We laid paving stones yesterday and they stayed put, but several of the 4×4s were lifted out of the ground and floated elsewhere.

Last night we spent a couple hours vacuuming and sopping up at least an inch of water out of Steve & Jenny's basement. Thank goodness they had a wet vac!!

Pretty flower! Do they eat that as well as the cucumber? Where do they live?
