Must ask my aunt if she remembers when the pair of these appeared at her parents' house (my grandparents) and if she knows who made them… I'm reasonably certain I sat in them as a child, so yeah, they're *really* old! This one is at my brother's house. The other went to one of my aunt's two children.
EDIT: My aunt says her maternal grandfather made them (my great-grandfather) from plywood left over after building rowboats. My aunt's daughter (my cousin) is a year older than I am and I was the second great-grandchild in that branch of the family, so I suspect they are about as old as I am.
