We were supposed to head home today, dropping off the kids at the airport in Columbus.
Alas, I took Clare to the ER last night with some balance and cognition issues. So far, after many, many tests, they have found no lingering symptoms and no obvious explanation. Best guess: TIA.

But their rescheduled flight is Wednesday out of Indianapolis, so Clare should get more time with the kids and IND is on our way home (on I-70), so there are a couple silver linings.

I know the TIA from past history (not mine) but I do believe there is full recovery from it and has the right medication - blood thinners - all is well! You sound as if you are dealing with this pretty well!
