“Before”

About 5 weeks ago we made a 50% deposit on a kitchen project. Once they have their deposit, then they order the custom cabinets. About 6 weeks are needed for a cabinet order so in the next week or so, work can begin.

Clare & I wanted “Before” photos for two reasons. Obviously, to compare “Before” to “After,” but also as a reminder. When we are mid-project and ask ourselves, “Why did we do this?” we wanted reminders of all the worn-out and wearing components. So here's one wide view of the “Before” kitchen.

Overview.
» White tile floor — going bye-bye.
» White, laminate counters — going bye-bye.
» Pinkish cabinets & gold hardware — going bye-bye.
» Ceiling fans — going bye-bye. (There will be one larger fan.)
» Countertop microwave oven — going bye-bye.
» Soffit from the far wall into the room — going bye-bye.
» All white appliances — going bye-bye.
» Purplish paint — going bye-bye.

There is, I think, one “infrastructure” item that will not be replaced: the garbage disposal!

This is good to do! Your present kitchen looks pretty and practical - maybe the cupboard doors need a bit of streamlining! You have plenty of space to play around with!
