Well, not exactly. Today they put up overlapping-flap plastic sheets in all the doorways and around this workspace where they are removing a run of soffit and patching it. The drywall guy comes Monday.
Our designer suggested selling our cabinets online. It worked! The buyer came with cash and a trailer and hauled them off this evening!
The effectiveness of the plastic sheeting? Instead of a ¼" of dust everywhere at the end, we had 1/16" instead. I suppose that's a partial win.

@janeandcharlie Cutting drywall makes a lot of dust! This crew was very considerate about minimizing the mess they make and our level of inconvenience.
