Pendant lights!

While we were gone, both ceiling fans were removed, pendant lights were installed over the island, and a new, larger ceiling fan was installed where we have our kitchen table (two blades visible in photo).

To my amusement, there were pencil lines on the top edges of the un-countered island cabinets to locate the pendant light locations above. :)

[Ugly] waste basket lower-left? It'll be gone, too. There will be a pull-out on the far end of the island with two bins (trash and recycles).
