Water break #1

This is a secluded corner of the lake where fishermen hardly ever drop their line. It's a little more than 2,000m (1¼ miles) from the dock, so it's a nice warm-up distance. Then it's about 4,300m (2⅔ miles) to another quiet corner. Reversing this path gives a 12K row (almost 7½ miles).

Nice feeling to be alone in this beauty!

@janeandcharlie Yes and no. This is when the real huffing & puffing and grunting & groaning starts! Rowing is for my cardio health and general fitness. In the beginning more than 10 years ago, when I was just learning how to row on water and I only had a very heavy and clumsy craft, these excursions were much more about "sightseeing" than they are now! I'm off this morning before 9:30 a.m. to try to beat the worst of today's 90° heat + humidity (which is perhaps nothing to you!).
