It’s hydrangea season in New England

This is at the home our younger daughter and her husband just bought — their first home purchase. It was a “Covid-19 purchase”: there were prospective buyers that put in higher offers, but they had to withdraw due to job loss. I don't recall how many open houses Grace & Neal attended or how many other offers they put in that were not accepted, but it was several. And open houses have taken on a whole new format in Massachusetts under “shelter-in-place” and social distancing. Now there are super-sophisticated videos online for homes that are for sale.

Not sure what species of hydrangea this might be (H. macrophylla?); there are 20 genera in the Hydrangeaceae family (and more than 150 species of Hydrangea).

Blue hydrangea is what my mom had at home while I was growing up. That is tradition for me! Great landscape!

@dutchothotmailcom @danette They were fortunate to be closed out of the other offers they made, so they were still in the market when this one became available. It has its quirks (built early 60s), but lots of updates while still leaving things for dad to do. :)
