This post has one, and only one, purpose: to document that Silver-spotted Skippers were here this year. It's a terrible photo with a dying lens, but this species is distinctive enough that the image is sufficient for identification purposes.

@jesika2 Not rare here, but the BAMONA and BugGuide web sites exist partly to keep data and document where sightings occur.

@rhoing our Butterfly Conservation Society collects/records moth and butterfly data and each year we have the 3 week Big Butterfly Count where people who might not usually submit add their sightings
