Its time has come

Mom's typewriter. State-of-the-art in the 80’s. Changeable font, too. Mom had been using it, but repairs are now necessary and there is no one readily available in Mom's area with both the know-how and access to the necessary parts to repair it. So we're taking it home to southern Illinois to see if we can find a place for it to find additional life. I should get on a scale with it; it's a beast.

I think this was a typewriter with some memory and it would show your current line on the small display panel and then type out the entire line when you filled the line. Hence the name, “Memorywriter.” Pretty cool at the time.
