American Redbud “fruits”

Or Eastern Redbud, or (avoiding overlapping common names) Cercis canadensis; photographed at Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums in Fremont, Ohio. I’m surprised this is only my second post of a redbud. (Previous post: a redbud in flower.)

Lovely pods and neat shot! We call those Judas trees here. Have no idea why or how they got that common name. I've seen them blooming in low marshy areas around here.
