Welcome to my BIL’s world!

When I bump up against a repair problem I think he can help me address, I send a photo to Clare’s youngest brother and this is one of those photos.† The rear tire of Clare’s bicycle has a slow leak. I’ve never removed the rear wheel of a shifting-gear bike; the derailleur has always been intimidating. Since Rich is a long-time, serious cyclist, I thought now was the time to delve into this repair before trotting off to the local cycle shop. So this is the photo that Rich received from me.

He was encouraging, so I will embark on this tomorrow/today.‡ I hope it’s more straightforward than making most repairs on a rowing shell!
