Circle of Life [Filler] by rhoing

Circle of Life [Filler]

North American Wheel Bug (Arilus cristatus) lunching on a Painted Lady butterfly (Vanessa cardui). I had passed by the butterfly a couple times on the butterfly bush and thought it was in an awkward “posture.” Well, it turned out there was a reason for that — it was quite the involuntary posture. This bug is in the taxonomical “family” of Reduviidae, “Assassin Bugs.”
