When I retired from teaching almost 11 years ago, one of the things I wanted to do was take more pictures. I bought a Nikon with 2 zoom lenses (18-55 and 55-200). I have thoroughly enjoyed taking pictures ever since. I've learned a lot over the last few years, but I'm still basically a point-and-shoot kind of photographer. This year I hope to change that and become better at taking the picture after adjusting aperture, lens speed, etc. prior to taking the picture rather than trying to adjust the photo after the fact. I also intend to learn more about composition. Doing such things will, hopefully, push me to take daily pictures in a variety of circumstances rather than waiting for special occasions. I've also just initiated a photography club in the community where my wife and I live, hoping that such an endeavor will also provide some incentive. Looking forward to completing the entire 365 consecutive photos this time since I was unsuccessful 10 years ago. :)
