Left the house and it was somewhat clear, but by time I got to the park, the rain had started to come down. Could still see some sun shine out there, so had to venture down for a quick look. After figuring out how to arrange the umbrella under my belt, I was able to get a couple of shots before the flashing started and that's when I had to leave.
Love the rain - you're fortunate but not if it came with the heat and humidity - in that case I will continue to enjoy and appreciate your photos of it!
@danette Thanks Danette, I fight with that tree all the time, trying to keep it out of the pictures. I just made a quick shot and ran back to the car, as the lightning was pretty close. Could have cropped but just didn't think of it at the time. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll go back and crop and see how it turns out.
