Not sure exactly which kind of crab this is, but they are running around on the bank of the river. This one just happened to climb up on the large tree that had fallen. Think it is a variety of sand crab.
Wonderful to see this in nature. It pains me to see the pretty blue ones in tiny plastic containers at Walmart... they never live very long as pets. Great pic of this cutie.
