Macdeafdog

This is Mac, my Aussie cattle dog mutt. He is 12 years old this month (I think). He's been with me since he was about four or five months old.
For the first two weeks that I had him, I thought he was just a sweet, stupid dog who slept heavily and didn't wake easily. Then, one day it hit me, he was deaf. He learned how to sit in 15 minutes with sign language. Who's stupid now?!
In his prime, he knew about 35 signs and was a relentless Frisbee catcher.
He has slowed down a lot this year, but Darby wakes him up to let him know when I get home from work and it's time to go for a walk, and I keep him as comfortable as I can.
He's my lumpy, smelly, crusty, little old man and I love him.
