St Matthews church

Church at Rutland Water probably the most photographed place in Rutland. It's about a year since I last took a shot of the church it benefited from some very calm conditions producing some great reflections :)
Lovely capture, of one of the strangest places that you will ever see a church!

@onewing I assume you can remember the reservoir being built then? It always fascinates me that they destroyed a village to make it not sure that would happen these days especially as the villages are now full of very affluent people...

@rjb71 Yes, I think it has just been completed when we were there in 1976. It was called Empingham Reservoir in those days.
