@rjb71 just re-read my comment and realised it was supposed to say a good series... I'm sure you realised that! We like to go to Birdfair so visit Oakham and Stamford about once a year!

@roachling I didn't actually notice:) You should visit the Eye Brook reservoir whilst your down this way it's a bit off the beaten track between Uppingham and Corby but good for birding and a lot quieter than Rutland Water.

@rjb71 ooh thanks for that tip! I will note that for the future! I don't think we're doing Birdfair this year (if all goes to plan, we're moving house!) but if I can, I might still squeeze in a weekend away or something as it's a nice area to visit.
