And a plane. The dark evenings are taking its toll on my photography options. The sky was almost clear tonight with just a thin layer of cloud so I thought I would take the stars for a change.

Nice shot. For star trails, it requires a tripod and a stacking program. I set my camera on a tripod at night, have dinner, watch a movie, or go to bed and then collect my camera and stack my shots. I start with a full battery and just let the battery die out.
