Mary Jane

Another shot from the ruins of the church I visited yesterday. The grave stone in the foreground bears the name Mary Jane who died aged 15 in 1889 it gets sadder as you read further down and find the names of her two siblings that died as infants. Life must have been hard back then. .
Awesome capture and looks great in B&W

I really like this composition with the grave stones in front. Nice job.

I like the contrast between the straight lines of the church and the not straight graves. So many stories, when you start reading the graves.

I like how you have put the grave stones in the foreground in this great b&w shot.
Life would have been so very hard back then.

Great POV and composition! I like the combination of castle and graveyard (reminds me of scenes in Masterpiece Theater programs).

Interesting shot. Works really well in B&W. Would be even better if you could lighten the grave stone at the front. Love it.

Can’t beat a wander round a graveyard. The stones tell such stories. I think it was a precarious time health wise for all. Even if you made it to adulthood, there was no guarantee that you would be there for long!

A very effective B&W. The church is quite magnificent :)

this is fantastic - so many people would leave out the gravestones but they make it
