The Stilton Run by rjb71

The Stilton Run

Every year there is a classic car meeting at Uppingham in Rutland where they retrace the route that was made to deliver Stilton cheese around the villages one of the longest commercial carriage rides of the time. I took a lot of shots but thought I would also have a go at some panning shots as they left the town. This is a 1928 Austin 750 the panning effect is quite interesting as the only bit in focus is the driver even though I was at F14 I suppose its because of the angle so everything else is either moving into or out of the frame.
Great sense of motion, a super capture

Boo
lovely! I really love the movement in this one. Would love an old car...but knowing my luck it would spend half it's life needing work done to it!

Great shot, can really 'feel' the movement of the car going by. I had some lovely Stilton last night or was it Shropshire Blue now ...

It's a great shot. I tried panning at the London to Brighton race some years ago, not easy!

Sounds like a fun run. Nice panning shot - having the driver in focus adds to the sense of movement of the lovely old car.
