Cupped hands sculpture at Grimsthorpe Castle Lincolnshire. I found this sculpture quite interesting and yes I'm lying on the grass to get the low POV! This is the artist Lucy Churchill's statement about her work "This is a very personal response to the loss of a loved one. I wanted to make something that would feel gentle and cherishing. It came from a very simple need to feel that the person would still be held - if not by me, then by the earth or a greater spirit. While the gesture is sheltering and protective, there is also a sense of offering."

I spoke to the lady who carved it via instagram she said she had to lie upside down to carve the underside so I got the easy job! @hermann Thank you Sally @jgpittenger Thank you :)
