Bit of a panning shot 1/13 of a second! The Union of South Africa arriving at Melton Mowbray last night. This was pulling the return leg of the Yuletide express that featured in yesterday's stop. This is one of the last times to see this train as it is to be permanently retired early next year. It's one of only 6 remaining of Sir Nigel Greasley 's stream liner A4 engines and the only one currently in service. As it was stopping at Melton Mowbray we decided to make the 10 minute dash to Oakham to catch it coming though the station there. We arrived with 60 seconds to spare! See my other post :)
